Description
Ranofer was the son of a famous artisan, and at one time was supposed to follow in his father's footsteps. After his father died, though, Gebu showed up, took all the family's possessions and forced Ranofer to work as a lowly laborer. Gebu takes all of Ranofer's pay and forces Ranofer to carry stolen gold. With nowhere else to go, Ranofer can't do a thing. If he doesn't do what Gebu says, Gebu will tell everyone that Ranofer is stealing the gold!
Then Ranofer finds the goblet, made of pure gold, one of the most beautiful objects he's ever seen. Gebu must have stolen it from a tomb! If Ranofer can prove that Gebu is a thief, he'll win his freedom. But what if Gebu denies it? What if he says that Ranofer stole the goblet, and he didn't know anything about it? The punishment for grave robbers is death!
